Saturdays

Yes my friends, it is in fact Thursday--but today's post is all about Saturdays.  On Saturdays it is all about sleeping in until noon, catching up on Facebook, brunch with my favorite gal pals and maybe a pedicure....  WHAT???? If this scenario sounds familiar to you, well- God bless you!! (ha!)  Nope, in my neck of the woods Saturdays consist of waking up with my littles, digging through piles of laundry for dance clothes, scarfing down bowls of cereal, packing lunch and snacks for the day, and then maybe-just maybe throwing on some makeup to look presentable for the day!  However, every once in a while I have a few extra minutes to actually put on something other than just my workout gear.  Denim shirt dresses are always easy and comfortable and leggings win over jeans if I'm going to be running around all day.  Nothing too fussy with hair which is usually under a beanie so I don't have to brush it, but on this particular day I tried a half top knot which I have been sporting ever since!

Do you style your Saturdays or scrub it out like Moi??  Hope you all have a great day, can't wait to share a fun project I have in the works coming up in a few weeks! Stay tuned!!!!!

Tutu Much?

You remember that one time when you were four and you were at your first ballet recital?  Your Mom let you wear for REAL makeup and put your hair up and THENNNNN you put on a tutu.  And it was not just any tutu, it was a purple and very sparkly!  Yes, I'm sure you are all super surprised that this was a true confession of my childhood ;) but I was most definitely one of those little girls.  And, again not surprising- I still am!

Happy Happy New Year!!

Hello Darlings!

It has been a hot minute since last we met and I have missed connecting with you all and documenting my day to day.  My last part of Summer and most of Fall have been crammed full with having ALL 3 of my daughters in school....my baby is a Kindergartner! ;(  I have also been super busy with my work at the dance studio I teach at amongst all the other things that are part of my day to day and have played a big part in keeping me away from all of you!  So, here is a little "I'm sorry" for my neglectful slump and a resolution to post more often in the upcoming new year!

Are you all ready for it? 2015....YIKES! Time flies, that right there is about as cliche as you can get but it is so true.  Ok, down to business.  What have you all been wearing since the weather turned?  I love this time of year and how festive all the clothes are.  So, I thought I would share some of my favorites as of late.  Some I own like the leggings, pencil skirt and sweater- which I've been wearing as much as twice a week since Thanksgiving!  Everything else is on my Gotta Have It list.  On a side note, did you know that one of the "colors of the 2015" is burgundy/maroon?  Makes perfect sense to me because I can't get enough of it and have my eye on this tunic dress from Free People.

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season.  Ours was bittersweet this year.  We had a loss in our family and it forced me to hold on to and rely on all the amazing people in my life that love me.  I'm so blessed!  So, my resolution for 2015 is to strive to be the best me every single day.  Happy New Year everyone!

xoxo
